I have always been interested in business and technology. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Management of Information Systems from the California State University, Northridge in 2005 and in 2007, I co-founded 7 Layer IT Solutions alongside my close friend, Angel Cifuentes. Building the company has been a transformative journey of challenges and growth, allowing us to shape our own personal and professional paths.

I believe fulfillment comes from continuous growth across all areas of life, not just relying on existing strengths. In a world where technology provides constant comfort and convenience, I make a conscious effort to seek out challenges and embrace discomfort as a means of personal development.

I am deeply grateful for my family and prioritize spending time with my wife and our two daughters – they have forever changed my life for the better. We enjoy traveling, exploring new places and foods, discovering new breweries, and making the most of every opportunity to experience what the world has to offer.

When I am not working on our company or challenging myself physically, I like to enjoy a cold, strong hazy IPA and some homemade pizzas in our pizza oven with family and friends.

With nearly 30 years of experience in the IT industry across multiple roles and sectors, I have developed a deep passion for building and growing our company. Over the past two decades, one of the most rewarding aspects of that journey has been supporting the people within our organization as they grow professionally and, most importantly, personally.

Ownership has brought its share of challenges, but the freedom it provides—and the opportunity to create something meaningful—has made the experience incredibly rewarding. I would not trade that journey for anything.

Equally important has been the ability to share this journey with both my family and our extended “work family.” Raising three young children while building a business has been deeply fulfilling, and being surrounded by people who have been part of that journey has made it even more meaningful.

Outside of work, my interests have included playing sports, staying current with financial markets, volunteering time at my children’s school, and creating special memories with my immediate family through travel.

Hello, my name is Guillermo Chinchilla. I have been working in the IT industry for over 25 years now and just recently completed my 4th year as a proud member of 7 Layer IT Solutions. Working in this industry is my passion and I pride myself in giving it my all every day. The best part about it is that I get to share my passion with such an amazing team.

In my spare time, I enjoy keeping up with technology trends, staying as active as possible, but most importantly spending time with my family, friends and loved ones.

I have been with 7 Layer IT Solutions for nine years, currently serving as the Office Manager. Although I am new to the IT field, I work closely with our team to help develop practical, effective solutions for our clients and provide organizational support.

Outside of work, I value spending quality time with my family and friends. One of my favorite ways to unwind is by going on camping trips in our travel trailer, which allows me to relax and recharge while enjoying the outdoors. I also enjoy the beach, gardening, and going to the gym.

With over 10 years of experience in IT, I started as a Systems Support Analyst, moved up to NOC Lead, and now work as a Project Manager. Having held multiple roles within the company, I've developed a broad skill set that makes me adaptable and versatile. My career has involved diverse projects and I'm always eager to learn and keep up with industry trends.

Outside of work, I enjoy bowling, basketball, golf, and bike rides. These activities help me stay balanced and bring fresh perspectives to my professional challenges.

Hi, my name is Angelo Tan. I have been working in IT for over a decade. My background ranges from backend development, level 1, 2 and 3 support, and IT infrastructure. In my free time, I enjoy flying drones, figuring out new technologies, and craft beer.

Vianey Cifuentes, MBA, PHR serves as the Human Resources Manager at 7 Layer IT Solutions, where she oversees human resources operations and partners with leadership to support the company’s employees, culture, and continued growth. With more than 15 years of human resources experience, Vianey brings extensive expertise in employee relations, compliance, performance management, organizational development, benefits, recruitment, and HR operations.

Throughout her career, Vianey has held HR leadership positions within both nonprofit and for-profit organizations, including leadership roles within the healthcare industry and community health centers. Her experience includes leading human resources functions in union and non-union environments and supporting medium and large public and private organizations.

Anna is a business manager and UCLA graduate with 20 years of experience in business management and accounting. She began her career in private practice before building a clientele of her own, working with businesses on their accounting and financial needs. Throughout her career, she has enjoyed working with a variety of clients and building long-standing professional relationships.

Outside of work, Anna loves discovering the newest coffee shops around town, taking daily walks with her Boxer dog, and occasionally hitting the tennis court

I'm an IT professional with a passion for cybersecurity and solving problems — whether that means securing systems or supporting users. My skill set includes network security, systems administration, SIEM tools, programming, and malware analysis. Outside of work, I'm dedicated to giving back by teaching digital skills and coding to underserved communities. Music is my creative outlet — it keeps me grounded and inspired.

My name is Luis Aguilar, and I'm a Technical Support Analyst at 7 Layer IT Solutions. I recently earned a Master's degree in Cybersecurity from California State University, Dominguez Hills and am eager to continue expanding my knowledge and experience in the field of Information Technology. Working alongside the talented team at 7 Layer has further deepened my understanding and passion for IT.

I've always had a strong drive to learn new skills — especially those related to computers and their many intricacies. As a self-proclaimed DIY enthusiast, I take on a wide range of hands-on projects, whether they take 30 minutes or evolve into month-long challenges. From rebuilding PCs and installing network lines at home to remodeling a bathroom, I approach each task with curiosity and a commitment to learning.

My name is Juan Pablo and I take pride in helping people solve tech problems. I'm always looking to learn more and find solutions to provide effective support. I believe good customer service is just as important as technical know-how, and I aim to make every interaction a positive one. I have a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Arizona State University and over five years of experience working in the IT field.

I've been in the IT field for over five years, but my journey started much earlier — back when I was a kid taking apart old computers just to see if I could put them back together (spoiler: sometimes I could). That early curiosity turned into a full-blown passion for technology, and now I get to do what I love every day: solving problems, optimizing systems, and occasionally reminding people to try turning it off and back on again.

When I'm not deep in tech mode, you'll find me watching or playing sports, spending time with my family, or trying to explain to them what I actually do for a living.

I'm a full-stack software engineer responsible for application development and scripting at 7LITS. I enjoy solving complex problems and mentoring others to grow their technical skills. Outside of work, I value time spent with family and friends and traveling together. Some of my favorite moments are watching my kids perform on stage and compete on the softball and soccer fields.

Harry brings six years of hands-on IT experience, tackling challenges across retail, healthcare, and corporate environments — all with a steady mindset and the occasional dad joke. Along the way, he picked up a B.S. in Computer Information Technology from CSUN and an MBA from the University of Redlands.

When he's not keeping systems in check, you'll find him in the gym, gaming with friends, or taste-testing whatever TikTok recipe his wife's cooking up.

I have been working in IT for just over 5 years now, from small MSPs to Amazon. I work in this field because I enjoy working with computers and networks. Something about learning how things work and communicate really interests me and I have a great deal of fun with it. One of my favorite things to do in the IT field is break programs and systems so I can find out what their limitations are, then fix them to build a deeper understanding — I just can't do that during business hours.

In my free time outside of work, I enjoy working on cars (I even re-built an engine after spinning a bearing), gaming, and being home with my family helping out with the yard work, gardening, and house hold chores. I try to be a jack of all trades in every aspect of my life.

I have been in the IT field for nearly four years. I started in retail IT services, where I worked for over three years. During that time, I handled many different responsibilities: from basic application installations and computer setups to complex software troubleshooting and custom computer builds. I carried these skills over to my position now at 7 Layer IT Solutions, where I have been able to expand and refine my software and troubleshooting skills.

My passion for computers began when I was a kid. On my very first laptop, I was drawn into exploring Windows 7 — trying out features like the Control Panel and the Command Prompt. As I got older, I learned even more: hosting game servers, maintaining private repositories to share files with friends, and running multiple machines to host different automated tasks. I am always eager to learn and grow.

I'm Matt, a remote Technical Support Analyst III based in Austin, TX, working with 7 Layer IT Solutions. With about 10 years of IT experience — primarily with Managed Service Providers — I've progressed from help desk to field technician, project management, and now my current role. I thrive doing field work, particularly on projects at new locations, where I focus on delivering enhanced IT solutions for both new and existing clients.

Outside of my IT work, I'm passionate about aviation, having previously worked as a commercial pilot and flight instructor — though now I fly for enjoyment. I also stay active with workouts, love traveling with my girlfriend and our two dogs, and occasionally unwind with some Tiki-inspired festivities when the chance arises.
